Outline of Annual Research Achievements

社会価値・規範・信念は、人々の相互作用を通じて形成されるものである。しかし、社会規範に関するこれまでの心理学・認知神経科学的研究は、人々がどのように社会規範に反応するかを調べるにとどまってきた。そこで本研究では、シンプルな知覚課題（呈示されたドットの個数を推定する課題）と計算論モデルを用いることで、相互作用を通じて新しい規範がどのように形成されるかを調べた。行動実験ではペア条件と個人条件を設けた。ペア条件では、スクリーンに呈示されたドットの数をペアが繰り返し回答した。個人条件では、各参加者が1だけで同様の課題に取り組んだ。fMRI 実験では、ペアの片方をコンピュータエージェントとして設計することで、相互作用プロセスに介入した。エージェントには2種類あり、片方のエージェントは相手の回答を完全に無視し、もう一種類のエージェントは相手の回答を参考にしながら回答するようにプログラムした。実験の結果、相互作用を通じて心理物理関数のパラメタが二者の間で収束することがわかった。また、相互作用を経ると、心理物理関数のパラメタが個人の中で安定することもわかった。課題中の神経活動を分析した結果、メンタライジングネットワークが心理物理関数の安定に寄与することもわかった。これらの実験結果は、二者間の互恵的な相互作用が各人の知覚を安定化させることに関係していることを示唆しており、社会規範の形成プロセスを解明する上で重要な基礎的知見であると考えられる。
