| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research focused on the intercultural contact situations for tourism between foreigner tourists and Japanese hosts in internal inbound, which has grown drastically. Specifically, we analyzed the tourist-talk by Japanese hosts. As a result the particular type of “omotenashi (hospitality)” in contact situations for tourism became clear. Furthermore we tried the development of “yasashii nihon-go (easy Japanese) ” for foreigner tourists and practiced in some tourist resorts.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
近年、世界的に海外旅行者数は増えており、これまでにないほど観光接触場面が世界中で生起している。ところが、観光接触場面におけるインターアクション研究は、観光の持つ「遊び」のイメージのためか、これまで積極的に行われてこなかった。しかし、海外旅行における経済効果は膨大なものであり、さらに観光をきっかけとして移民となるケースも多く、単に観光現場で完結する研究ではない。本研究では、日本における観光接触場面のインターアクション問題の現状やその解決を目的としたものであるが、このことは単に現場における「おもてなし」の改善だけではなく、地方創生、多文化共生につながる意義を持つものである。
