| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study examines how formal and informal rules interact to create social order, using examples from corporate transactions, corporate governance, and corporate sustainability due diligence, from the perspective of civil law. It also examines the background behind the transition from informal to formal rules. This study demonstrates that formal rules and informal rules are not a dichotomy, nor do they form a linear spectrum. Instead, they are multifaceted (multi-axial), meaning that a single norm can be formal in one aspect and informal in another.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
