Outline of Final Research Achievements

In socially implemented PBL, we have received requests from multiple clients outside the university to develop systems and build project operation skims. As an example, we will show an effort to provide programming education support at an elementary school in Miyashiro Town, Saitama Prefecture, where our university is located, by a team of local elderly people.
We held a seminar for elderly people living in Miyashiro Town to acquire programming education skills, and organized a team that will be the main body of team teaching. We actually conducted programming education at an elementary school in Miyashiro Town, summarized the evaluations for it, and conducted a qualitative evaluation. This education system is effective and contributes to the creation of a place for the elderly to play an active role in Miyashiro Town.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

研究期間の重要な時期をコロナ禍の影響を受け、社会実装PBLを含むアクティブラーニングをオンラン環境で実施せざるを得ない状況が2年間続いた。そこで、この状況を生かし、オンライン環境がアクティブラーニングの実施方法にどのような変化をもたらしたのかを、大学教員を対象としてアンケート調査を実施し、その結果を分析することで明らかにすることにした。大学教員225名からの回答があり、結果を分析するとオンラインであったとしても、50%弱の教員が工夫次第では対面と同様の教育効果が得られると回答した。ステークホルダの係わり方の質的変化により役割が再評価されためと推察され、社会実装型PBLの新しい可能性を得た。
