Outline of Final Research Achievements

In addition to EEG and GSR, it was decided to add blink and head position information as biometric information for concentration analysis. In addition to Bitalino, JINS MEME was added as a device for this purpose, making it possible to obtain consistency in measurement data. We were able to propose an algorithm for judging the degree of concentration based on changes in biometric information and conduct a judgment analysis using this algorithm. However, the number of demonstration experiments conducted to confirm the consistency of the degree of concentration judgment using questionnaires from subjects is extremely small, and research on the accuracy of the judgment is needed. Machine learning for predicting changes in concentration is an issue for the future.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

受講生の集中状態を継続することは、学習効率の向上につながる。集中度を可視化することにより、異なる作業、学習スタイルを用いた教員の授業スタイルを柔軟に変更することが可能となる。対面を中心としたアクティブラーニング、遠隔授業での学生の受講状態を客観的に知ることで、受講者の学習効率の向上、教員の授業スタイルの効率化が図れる。
授業に限らず、社会活動時における集中度の客観的な情報を用いた集中度の分析は、社会生活の作業の効率化、安全性の向上性に有効的であることから、装置の小型化、分析手法の確立に関して継続研究が重要と考える。
