Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本邦では、「精神的に脆い」と言われる若者たちが、「予測出来ない厳しい世の中」を生き延びていけるよう教育しておく必要性に駆られている。そのため、義務教育では手つかずの、resilienceの向上を意図したPositive Education（以下、PosiEd）のエッセンスを取り入れた初年次教育を実施し、wellbeingの在り様を測定するPERMA、Brief Resilience Scale（BRS）、Strength Use Scale（SUS）を用い、PosiEd効果を縦断的に検討する。
2016年度入学生を対象としたpre-post検証では、僅か1年間においてもPERMAにおけるPositive Emotion、Relationships、Meaningの度合いが高まることが示唆された。一方、何かに従事し熱意をもって取り組むEngagementや、某かやり遂げるAchievementの値が有意に上昇するには1年間では足りず、更に時間が必要かと考えられた。
2017年度入学生の3クラス（1クラスのみ実験群）を対象とした比較検証からは、前年度とは様相が異なる結果が得られた。2017年度入学生は、学科問わず3クラス共に「心身の健康度合い」が有意に低下し、学生たちが徐々に疲弊していく様子が伺えた。
一方、2018年度入学生においては、入学時と年度末におけるPERMAのpre-post検証において有意差はみられていない。しかしながら学生の能動性を客観的に評価すると、学生の能動性はPERMAのPositive Emotions、Meaning、Accomplishmentと相関していた。しかし成績とPERMAの結果に相関関係は見られなかった。
2019年度からは長引くCOVID－19の蔓延に加え、入退院の繰り返しに依る影響が甚大にて、データ分析に時間が割けないままである。
