Outline of Final Research Achievements

We focused on the Higgs particle and its interactions, discovered at the CERN LHC in 2012, in order to study physics beyond the standard model of elementary particle physics. Assuming that Higgs precision measurements at future colliders such as the ILC observe deviations from the predictions in the standard model, we investigated how large such deviations can be induced in extended Higgs models.

We also proposed a new calculation method of helicity amplitudes for high-energy scattering processes.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

2012年に発見された新粒子は、その後の実験データの蓄積と解析により素粒子標準理論が予言するヒッグス粒子と矛盾が無いことが徐々に明らかになってきた。一方、標準理論は、階層性問題、暗黒物質の存在をはじめとし多くの未解決問題を含むことも知られており、見つかった粒子が真に標準理論の予言するヒッグス粒子なのか、それとも標準理論を超える物理から予言されるものかを理論的、実験的に検証することが最重要課題となっている。本研究は様々な模型について将来実験での検証可能性を包括的に吟味した重要な研究である。
また我々が提案した新たな計算手法により、数値シミュレーションの精度、速度の向上が得られ大きな貢献となった。
