Outline of Final Research Achievements

In order to realize a battery-less implant platform, we have developed a resonance and rectifier circuit (Cockcroft-Walton circuit) for receiving and boosting weak electromagnetic waves. In the radio frequency band, we succeeded in reducing the influence of the parasitic elements of the rectifier circuit that follows by increasing the output voltage amplitude. We have succeeded in realizing a basic circuit for medical applications.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

生体深部に装着可能な無給電インプラントプラットフォームが実現できれば、電磁誘導を用いた短距離伝送の無線電力伝送に変わる新たな電力伝送方式となる。本成果により、ヘルスケアや医療の領域、そして畜産や農業の領域で、新たなバイオセンシングデバイスの開発と実用化が可能となり、その波及効果は多岐にわたると考えられる。
