Outline of Final Research Achievements

On a 3 dimensional shaped substrate, a non-cytotoxic film was deposited from a bio-compatible electroless gold plating bath. Cell sheets were grown on the substrates then electrolytically transferred to a living system. This illustrated the application to related medical fields.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では生体適合性無電解金めっきの開発を行った。樹脂製の基板を3Dプリンターによって作製し、金めっきを施したのち、表面に細胞を培養し細胞シートを形成した。細胞シートは電解剥離することができ、生体内に移植可能であることを示した。
生体適合性のある金めっき法を確立し、複雑な形状をした様々な基板材料に金めっきを形成することで、生体適合性無電解金めっきの可能性を示した。さらに、この方法を用いた細胞シートの作製により、医療分野への貢献が期待できる。
