近年、発がんのプロセスにおいてTAMが非常に重要な役割を果たすことが明らかとなっている。本研究の成果は、TAMの分化を制御している転写制御ネットワークの構造を解明する第一歩となると考えられる。今後、TAM分化のメカニズムを明らかとし新規抗がん剤の開発に役立と考えられる。
