Outline of Final Research Achievements

We constructed a high-throughput screening system that can detect the expression of Fbw7β with high specificity and sensitivity, and selected compounds that can induce the expression of Fbw7β. The screened drugs possessed antiviral activity against several viruses.
Our screened drugs may become a tool to combat emerging viral pandemics that may occur in the future.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

我々がスクリーニングした薬剤は、今後発生するであろう新興ウイルス感染症のパンデミックに対抗できるツールになる可能性がある。
