Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A new, non-invasive reference frame was developed for image-guided otological surgery. The reference frame should be stable, can be sterilized, and accurate. A prototype was built for phantom study.

本研究はリファレンスフレームの侵襲性、清潔度、精度、安定性を高次元で達成するという直接的な成果が期待できるだけでなく、ナビゲーション手術を言い訳にした手術侵襲性/清潔度の妥協は一切行うべきでないというコンセプトを強く主張する意味もある。頭頸部領域はナビゲーションの要求精度が最も厳しい。この分野で侵襲度を上げずに高精度を出せるナビゲーション技術の研究成果は、当該手術分野に限らず全ての手術分野に応用できる。
