Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to develop a fall prevention intervention method for dual tasks that incorporates mental arithmetic reaction time tasks during tai chi exercise (movement of the center of gravity at the middle waist) and walking. Furthermore, we examined the effect of intervention using a new intervention method in elderly people who have experienced falls. First, we examined the measurement reliability and difficulty of the mental arithmetic reaction time task for 30 healthy elderly people, and the measurement reliability is high, and the difficulty of the mental arithmetic problem with mixed addition and subtraction is medium level. It turned out to be suitable for the intervention of the elderly. In addition, 86 elderly people with fall experience (39 in the dual task group; 47 in the control group) were intervened for 8 weeks, and after the intervention, the mental arithmetic reaction time during walking was significant shortened in the dual task intervention group.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
転倒予防は高齢化社会の重要課題である。しかし、有効な転倒予防介入方法は未だ少ない。今回運動課題(歩行)と認知課題(暗算反応時間)を用いた2重課題転倒予防介入方法を開発した。この介入方法の信頼性と有効性を検討し、新しい転倒予防介入方法として確立することを示唆された。 地域において、高齢者サービスを提供する企業と連携し、2つディーサービスを設立し、現場の状況に合わせ、筋肉トレーニングをしながら暗算課題を取り入れた。この二重課題のトレーニング方法は高齢者に好評された。今後、二重課題でのトレーニング方法のバリエーションを増やし、実用化に向け、介入用アプリケーションの開発を行う予定です。
