Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study was conducted to verify the effectiveness of Taktil Care as a support method for providing healthy sleep to the elderly. Tactile Care was administered to elderly people with dementia residing in nursing homes, and sleep conditions, motivation for living, and behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia were verified. There were no significant differences in all survey items between before and after the implementation of Tactile Care. Sleep conditions varied among individuals, with some increasing and others decreasing sleep efficiency. It was suggested that providing Tactile Care while checking individual responses could have sleep benefits.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
