Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, I investigated the effect of changes in bone metabolism caused by the increase or decrease in mechanical stress on the blood concentration of multi-organ linkage substances secreted from osteoblasts. The results revealed that blood levels of non-carboxylated osteocalcin (Glu-OC) and fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) were not be affected by continuous load increases and decreases. On the other hand, it was revealed that the blood concentration of Glu-OC increased immediately after the acute exercise for 5 minutes or more. However, it was not clear whether mechanical stress on bone was the main factor or muscle contraction was the main factor for the increase in blood concentration of Glu-OC.
