Outline of Final Research Achievements

For the two-year grant period, I worked on linguistic phenomena called NP-ellipsis and argument ellipsis. Descriptively, having stayed at the University of Connecticut, I worked with native speakers of e.g. German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Italian and found out novel data on the phenomena in question. Theoretically, I made several descriptive arguments for the availability of a linguistic operation called LF-copying, demonstrating its theoretical consequences.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
