| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study explores whether Chinese graded reading (GR) is suitable for beginning learners . In FY2018, we asked beginner to read existing GR materials and measured their comprehension level. In FY2019, we examined whether existing GR materials were suitable for beginner during a 10-month multi-reading activity. In FY2020 and FY2022, we produced GR materials suitable for beginner based on the results obtained in 2018 and 2019. The produced works are available at https://tagengoch.jimdofree.com/.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究は既存の中国語段階別読み物（GR）が初級学習者に適していないということを理解度テストから明らかにし、さらにこのテストから初級学習者にとって難しい文法、語彙、表現は何かを明らかにした。これらの結果に基づき新たに多読活動において初級者に適したGRを制作した。現在はまだ４冊しかないが、本研究に基づきさらに多くのGRを制作することで中国語多読活動に適した教材を提供することが可能になる。多読活動は英語教育などで学習者の運用能力が向上したという報告が見られる。本研究で制作したGRも中国語多読で用いることにより学習者の運用能力向上が期待できると思われる。
