Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2024年度は降水量プロダクトMSWEPを使って、ネパールにおける季節別降水量の地域性と経年変化について分析し、Geographical Reports of Tokyo Metropolitan University 60号(査読なし)に掲載した(Azusa Fukushima(2024)"Regionality of Long-term Pre-monsoon and Monsoon Precipitation Trends in Nepal." Geographical Reports of Tokyo Metropolitan University, 60, 89-96.)。この研究から、プレモンスーン季降水量は、1979-2023までの期間でネパール南東部を中心に有意に増加しており、この傾向はヒマラヤ南麓における西よりの水蒸気輸送が減少していること、上空の偏西風の弱まりと関係していると考えられる。またネパール西部のヒマラヤ地域を中心に、モンスーン季の降水量が有意に増加していたが、これは、ベンガル湾付近における南よりの水蒸気輸送の強化と、インド洋におけるモンスーン循環の強化が関係していると示唆された。
また、インド北東部の地点降水量データから極端な大雨事例を抽出し、その循環場の特徴と季節内変動の関係を分析した結果をAmerican Geophysical Union annual meeting 2024(2024年12月、ワシントンD.C.開催)にてポスター発表した。
