Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research explores the factors influencing the emergent strategy formation process from three perspectives: 1) the perspective of country, region, and ecosystem, 2) the perspective of history, tradition, and institutions, and 3) the perspective of the self-awareness of managers. From the first perspective, through joint research with researchers from China and South Korea, we explored the characteristics and traits of the startup ecosystem in Tokyo, the behavioral characteristics it brings to emerging companies, and the differences in growth factors. From the second perspective, by investigating the strategy renewal of long-established companies, we clarified the characteristics of new management strategies that emerge over long term and the roles of middle managers involved in their formation. Additionally, from the third perspective, we discussed how the presence or absence of managerial experience as a lawyer affects strategy formation in the legal tech field.
