Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have studied photo-induced phases in various quantum materials including high-temperature superconducting materials by using high harmonic generation time-resolved ARPES and terahertz spectroscopy.
We have successfully revealed photo-induced superconductivity in FeSe, photo-induced metallic state in Ta2NiSe5, and ultrafast unbalanced carrier distribution in a quasicrystalline twisted-bilayer graphene.
As a result, we have published 7 journals including 4 journals that I have contributed as the first author. Also, I have presented the research results at 4 international conferences including 1 invited talks and 1 poster award. At 6 Japanese conferences, I have given talks as a presenter.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究で見出された、光励起後に表れる量子物質での新奇な相や状態は、次世代の電気光デバイスの開発においても大変重要な知見をもたらすことを見出し、特に以下の3つの研究については、プレスリリースにより発表した。
鉄系超伝導体FeSeにおける光誘起超伝導の発現は、太陽電池や電子回路に取り入れることで発熱を抑え、将来のエネルギー問題解決への糸口になることを示した。また、励起子絶縁体候補物質Ta2NiSe5における光誘起金属状態の発見は、次世代の光スイッチング素子としての可能性を提示した。さらに、準結晶二層グラフェンにおける超高速キャリア不均衡の発見は、超高速電圧素子としての可能性を提示することに成功した。
