Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We found that heat shock induces translocation of MALAT1 noncoding RNA from nuclear speckle to a distinct nuclear body named HiNoCo body. In this study, I tried to reveal the heat-response gene regulation through MALAT1/HiNoCo body. I identified the heat-responsible mRNAs and open chromatin region which were altered in MALAT1 knockout cells. We also found that MALAT1 interacted with specific Genomic DNA region in heat shock condition.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
