Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, it is revealed that three different kinds of compounds were formed by hydrothermal treatment with phosphoric acid solutions of different pH. In results of this experiment, it is suggested that all compounds were used as biomaterial.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では,生体材料の無機成分として広く用いられているハイドロキシアパタイトやリン酸三カルシウムなどに代わる無機材料を探索し,その無機材料の生体材料としての可能性を見出すことを目的としている.本実験では,出発物質が同じであっても,その後処理条件を変えることによって異なる化合物が生成することを明らかにしている.また,それらの化合物に対して材料評価,強度試験,細胞実験などを行った結果,生体材料として使用できる可能性を見出すことに成功した.
