| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Antimicrobial prescribing in the emergency department needs to be improved as in the United States and Europe. Interventions to physicians have been shown to be an essential factor in promoting appropriate antimicrobial prescriptions in emergency departments. There are various ways to intervene, and while providing tools alone may improve the situation, it is also important to provide direct interventions such as education and feedback to encourage behavioral change among prescribers. Multifaceted interventions can promote appropriate antimicrobial prescriptions in emergency departments.

本研究で得られたことは、日本の内服抗菌薬にも改善の余地があることです。そして、それは多面的介入により改善する可能性があることです。介入により適切な処方は維持されることがわかりました。しかし、多面的介入には時間と労力がかかります。そして、それによる経済的効果はすぐには得られず、病院の経営上で障壁となります。しかしながら、その取り組みは、将来にその効果が結果を出すことがあります。日本においても抗菌薬適正使用を促進することの重要性、それに必要な教育体制、システム体制の構築をすることが、今後必要です。
