Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this project, collaborative research with ETHZ, PEFL and Tianjin university has been promoted. As results, five papers has been published: rheology of cray in ACS, extension of ultrasonic spinning rheometry in Exp Fluids, Pulsatile pipe flow rheometry in IEDR, review article on ultrasonic measurement of multiphase flow in IJMF, and review of spinning rheometry in Japan Rhelogy Society.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

様々な組成をもつ非ニュートン流体や混相流の粘度を瞬時に明らかにする技術は,工業生産現場,食品工業,廃棄物など環境対応技術において有益であり,本課題では超音波によってそのようなリアルタイム物性計測技術を開発することに注力した.スイス連邦工科大学チューリッヒ校(ETH)との共同開発により,流動する材料の物理モデルを構築し,超音波による速度分布や組成分布の計測と連結した汎用技術を構築した.特に粘土質の物質,組成に空間分布をもつ食品の流れ,内部に界面を有する物質のレオロジー物性を展開する方法論が完成した.
