Research Abstract

惑星は、原始惑星円盤と呼ばれる形成途上の恒星周囲の降着円盤で形成されると考えされている。この円盤中のガス成分の散逸機構の解明は、惑星の形成や形成後の惑星の進化を規定する上で、主要課題である。具体的には、巨大ガス惑星の形成や、形成後の惑星の移動、特に中心星への落ち込みに、円盤ガスは主要な役割を果たしており、円盤ガスがいつ頃どのように消失したのかを解明することは、非常に重要である。本研究では、円盤内で励起される磁気流体乱流が駆動する円盤風の、円盤ガス散逸への寄与を調査した。円盤内の乱流は、角運動量の外側への輸送による質量の降着に不可欠であると同時に、磁気乱流圧による円盤上下面から円盤風を駆動すると考えられる。しかしながら、このような円盤風駆動機構はこれまで見落とされており、円盤ガスの散逸への寄与についても、全く調べられていなかった。本研究では、局所3次元磁気流体シミュレーションの手法を用いて、降着円盤内の磁気乱流の生成と、円盤風の駆動を首尾一貫した方法で解析した。その結果、磁気回転不安定性により、円盤内で磁気乱流が発達し、磁気乱流からガスへのポインティングフラックスの輸送により、円盤風が上下面から駆動されることが判明した。様々な強度や形状の磁場の場合についてのシミュレーションを行い、この円盤風機構は初期の磁場が非常に弱い場合も含めて普遍的に働くことを示した。さらに、この結果を原始惑星系円盤の進化へと応用し、円盤ガスの散逸に本質的な寄与をすることを指摘した。円盤風機構は中心星近傍でより効果的に働くため、内側の惑星の形成や軌道進化により大きな影響を与えることが推測される。本研究の成果はSuzuki & Inutsuka(2009)に掲載されている。
