超高温動作形状記憶合金及びそれを用いた超高温磁場駆動アクチュエータ材料の開発

Research Abstract

高温形状記憶合金と高キュリー点の強磁性体の積層化により、高温で高速駆動が可能なアクチュエータ材料が実現できると考え、この実現を目指し、高温形状記憶合金TiAuと強磁性体Co、Fe、Niの拡散接合と積層化、およびこれらの接合界面における拡散挙動、拡散組織および反応層形成の解明を試みた。拡散接合によりTiAu/Co積層材を作製した結果、TiAu/Co界面にはC11_bAu_2TiおよびC36 Co_2Tiが形成することを見出した。Coはこの2種類の金属間化合物相を経てTiAu層側へ拡散し、その拡散の活性化エネルギーは280kJ/molと評価できた。また、773Kでは反応層が成長せず、773K程度までは長期使用が可能とがえられる。次に、TiAu/FeおよびTiAu/Ni積層材を拡散接合により作製し、結果をTiAu/Coと比較した。TiAu/Fe界面にはC11_b Au_2TiおよびC14 Fe_2Tiが形成し、TiAu/Ni界面にはC11_b Au_2TiおよびDO_<24>Ni_3Tiが形成した。また、TiAu/Ni積層材の時効処理により新規三元化合物Au_3Ni_3Ti_2を発見した。接合条件が1073Kで10hにおける拡散層の厚さは強磁性元素により異なり、TiAu/Coで7mm、TiAu/Feで9mm、TiAu/Niで16mmであり、拡散の見かけの活性化エネルギーはTiAu/Coで280kJ/mol、TiAu/Feで250kJ/mol、TiAu/Niで180kJ/molであった。これら拡散挙動をまとめると、TiAuへの拡散はNiで最も速く、次いでFe、Coの順に遅くなる。この結果、CoとFeはNiよりもTiAuへの拡散が遅く、また、CoとFeはNiに比べてキュリー温度が高く磁気モーメントが大きいことから、本積層材の強磁性層として適していると結論した。
