Research Abstract

我々は、これまでにルテニウム錯体触媒を中心とする数多くの新規触媒的炭素-炭素結合生成反応の開発に成功しているが、最近では触媒的炭素-炭素結合切断/炭素骨格再構築反応、すなわち「切って繋ぐ」という新しい有機合成手法の開発を行っている。
本年度は、これまでの研究で得られた知見を基に、まず我々が初めて合成、構造決定に成功した新規0価ルテニウム錯体Ru(η^4-cot)(η^2-dmfm)(dppm)[cot=1, 3, 5-cyclooctatdene, dmfm=dimethyl fumarate,dpppm=bis(diphenylphosphino)methane]の触媒機能を検討する過程において、ベンゾ[b]フランの2位のsp^2C-H結合活性化を経ると考えられるアクリル酸エステルとの酸化的カップリング反応が進行することを見出した。
さらに、我々が開発したルテニウム錯体触媒存在下でのβ-炭素脱離反応を鍵反応とする歪のないsp^3-sp^3炭素-炭素結合の触媒的切断手法のさらなる発展を目指し研究を行った。その結果、不均一系酸化物担持ルテニウム触媒(Ru/CeO_2およびRu/ZrO_2)を用いた場合、第三級ホモアリルアルコールからアルデヒドへの高選択的アリル基移動反応が良好に進行することを見出した。本反応においては、同様に調製した他の酸化物担持ルテニウム触媒(Ru/SiO_2、Ru/Al_2O_3、Ru/MgO、Ru/TiO_2等)は、全く触媒活性を示さなかった。
以上の研究は、「不活性炭素分子の高度変換手法」の開発を強力に推進する核となる研究であり、物質の高度利用に根ざした原子効率的新物質合成法の開発に繋がる。
