Research Abstract

本研究課題では, (1) ポリジアセチレン(PDA)ナノ結晶サイズの単分散化, (2) PDAナノ結晶のカプセル化, (3) パターン基板上でのカプセル化PDAナノ結晶の配列制御を行い, 超階層構造形成を研究目的とした. 本年度(最終年度)の研究成果を以下にまとめる.
(1) 無脈流シリンジポンプを採用した再沈法を確立し, PDAナノ結晶の大量合成とサイズ・形状制御に成功した. 従来の再沈法に比較して約500倍のスケールアップとなった. (2) PDAナノ結晶のカプセル化に関しては, スチレンモノマー(ST)と2つの水酸基を有する水溶性・ノニオン性スチレン誘導体(M1)とのシード/乳化重合による共重合化(架橋剤DVBおよび重合開始剤KPSを使用)によって, ほぼ球形状のカプセル化に成功した. ポリスチレンシェル層の厚さは段階的にモノマー(ST/M1)を添加することにより制御可能であった. M1の代わりにカチオン性あるいはアニオン性スチレン誘導体を用いた場合は, カプセル化率の低下あるいは凝集体を与えた. PDAナノ結晶と水分散媒体および生成するポリスチレンとの親和性のバランスをM1が取っているものと推定され, カプセル化機構を提案した. (3) パターン基板を用いたTapered Cell法による超階層構造制御を試みた. 即ち, ピット内にポリスチレンラテックス(PSL)を, テラス上にカプセル化PDAナノ結晶を配列制御することに成功した. さらに, ピット内にカプセル化半導体微粒子を, 同様にテラス上にカプセル化PDAナノ結晶を配列制御できることも確認された. このようにカプセル化することにより, パターン基板上にPSL, PDAナノ結晶, 半導体微粒子と言った異種材料を効率的且つ位置選択的に積層・累積する基盤技術が確立された.
