Research Abstract

有機材料を用いた光電変換系に関する研究は、基礎科学的観点から実用技術開発にわたる広範な興味を集めている。本研究では、機能性色素-導電性高分子の複合膜の構造と光電変換特性の相関を見出し、光電変換特性制御のための複合膜の設計指針を得る事を第一の目的として研究を進めており、平成20年度には以下の成果を得た。
平成19年度の成果であるポリチオフェンーフラーレン電解重合複合膜が被覆された電極を作用極として、チオフェン部位を備えたポルフィリン誘導体を含む電解質溶液中で逐次的に電解重合反応を行い、ポリチオフェン-フラーレンーポルフィリンからなる複合膜修飾電極を得る事に成功した。このポリチオフェン-フラーレンーポルフィリン複合膜修飾電極を作用極として、犠牲試薬の存在下で光照射を行うと安定な光電流が発生した。この複合膜の光電変換効率はポリチオフェンーフラーレン複合膜を用いた場合と比べると顕著に向上しており、その変換特性からポルフィリンの光励起による光電変換への寄与が確認された。以上により、導電性高分子を用いた光電変換系・太陽電池の効率向上や特性制御を電解重合法によって行う事が容易であることが強く示唆された。
また、平成19年度の成果である、ターチオフェン部位を備えたフラーレン誘導体の電解重合膜の光電変換特性の発現に加え、その電解重合膜の構造と光電変換特性の相関を体系的に評価・検討し、より効率的な光電変換を実現するための指針を得た。
