Research Abstract

電子求引性の高いトリフリル基を二個導入したジスルホンにMeCN中0℃でジフルオロブロマンを作用させることにより、脂肪族ブロモニウムイリド(R_fSO_2)_2C^-Br^+C_6H_4-p-CF_3(R_f=CF_3,CF_3(CF_2)_3)の合成に初めて成功した。合成したブロモニウムイリドは安定であり、室温で放置しても分解は全く見られない。溶液中でも安定であり、重アセトン中室温での半減期は一年以上にもなる。その固体構造をX線結晶解析により決定した。イリドカルバニオンの周りの結合角の和は359.5度であり、sp^2混成であることが分かった。イリド結合の距離は1.868Åであり、二重結合性はほとんど見られない。臭素の回りの結合角は103.9度であり、ヨードニウムイリド(CF_3SO_2)_2C^-I^+Ph(98.2度)よりも大きい。臭素原子のサイズが反映されていると考えられる。また、イリドカルバニオンは三つの負の超共役効果により安定化されている。
興味深いことに、合成したブロモニウムイリドはピリジンなどの複素環化合物に対してアリール基を転移し、N-アリールピリジニウム塩を生成することを見出した。このN-アリール化ではビススルホニルブロモメタニドアニオンが脱離基として機能している。なおこのN-アリール化は、ヨードニウムイリド(CF_3SO_2)_2C^-I^+C_6H_4-p-CF_3を用いた場合には全く進行しない反応である。ピリジンのN-アリール化反応は、イリドイプソ位への求核的攻撃によりMeisenheimer型錯体が生成する反応であると考えられる。イリドについてのDFT計算結果と矛盾しない機構である。
