Research Abstract

アルドール縮合は、塩基性触媒では求核付加を含み、他方、酸触媒でも反応が起こる。酸触媒と塩基触媒で、アルドール縮合の反応機構が同様なのか異なるのか興味ある。この興味は、電極でのイオンの移動速度の差や、H_3O^+....H_2O(36 kca/mol)と、OH^-....H2O(28 kca/mol)の結合エネルギーの差と対応するのかに由来する。また、塩基触媒下でD_2O溶媒中での反応で、アセトアルデヒドでは未反応体にDが取り込まれないが、アセトンでは取り込まれる。従来、この反応の素過程を調べた報告が無く、これらの興味や疑問に応えるべく、計算化学で反応経路を求めた。アセトアルデヒドを用いた塩基触媒下の反応モデルとし(MeCHO)_2+OH^-+(H_2O)_8を用いた。酸性触媒下では、(MeCHO)_2+H_3O^++(H_2O)_8を使った。OH^-を含む経路での反応前、第2、3番目の中間体及び生成物の構造変化において、水分子集団が、必要な共有結合と水素結合の交替に有効に関与している。OH関与の反応で、アセトアルデヒド及びアセトンが反応体での自由エネルギー変化により、アセトアルデヒドの方が高い反応性を有する。また、アセトンでは律速段階がエノレート中間体(lnt2)の次にあり、アセトンとInt2の平衡で、未反応体へのD置換が理解できる。酸触媒については、2個の遷移状態(TS)構造がある。OH例関与では、結合交替ごとのTSが存在したのに対し、H_3O^+関与では、複数個所の交替が同時に起る。電極でのイオンの移動速度や水分子との結合エネルギーの差は、反応経路上では、素過程数の違い(OH^-関与3個、H_3O^+関与2個)として求められた。以上、古典的反応であるアルドール縮合の経路を明らかにし、水素結合を通じた結合交替の様式が、H_3O^+とOH^-で異なることが求められた。
