Research Abstract

1. 両末端疎水化感温性高分子の形成するミセルネットワークのダイナミクス
両末端がオクタデシル基で修飾されたPoly(N-isoprolyl aclylmmide)(HM-PNIPAM)が水溶液中で形成するミセルネットワークのダイナミクスを動的光散乱(DLS)および動的粘弾性測定により解析を行った。DLSから観測される相関関数は, HM-PNIPAM溶液が準濃厚領域に入ると, 2つのモードを示した。速いモードは, ポリマーもしくはミセルの局所的な濃度揺らぎに起因する拡散モードであり, 一方, 遅いモードは, q依存性を示さず, このモードの特徴的な時間は, rhcological temlinal timeのオーダーであり, 応力緩和と同じ伸長指数βを有する伸長型指数関数で記述できることから, ゲルの弾性緩和に起因するモードであることが明らかとなった。これからの結果は, de Gennes-Brochardによる準希薄溶液中での高分子の相互拡散と粘弾性的特性の相互作用を記述した理論を, Maxwell粘弾性体に拡張した理論において, viscoelastic timeがdiffusion timeに比べて非常に長い極限で, 定量的に説明できることが明らかとなった。
2. 電解質ブロック重合体と界面からなるコロイド複合体形成に対塩添加効果
中性高分子-高分子電解質から構成されるジブロック共重合体であるpoly(acrylamide)-block-poly(acrylic acid)(PAM-b-PAA)と, 反対電荷を有するカチオン性界面活性剤DTABからなるコロイド複合体形成過は塩濃度に依存し, 低塩濃度ではDTABが, その臨界ミセル濃度以下であっても高分子鎖上に濃縮され, ミセル様構造を形成し, DTAB濃度の上昇と共にマルチミセルクラスターを経て, コアシェル構造を有するコロイド複合体を形成することが明らかとなった。さらに, コアはPAAブロックで連結した密にパッキングしたDTA+ミセルにより構成されていることが, 中性子小角散乱より明らかとなった。高塩濃度条件下では, パッキングしたミセル間の静電遮蔽により, コロイド状複合体が再溶解することを明らかにした。
3. 脂質類似構造両親媒性高分子が形成するミセルネットワークの構造転移
アミノ酸L-LysineのN末端および側鎖をパルミチン酸, C末端を分子量5000のポリエチレングリコールで修飾した両親媒性高分子の20%水溶液は透明ゲルを形成し, 50℃付近でヘキサゴナル構造から体心立方格子構造への秩序-秩序転移, 80℃付近で体心立方格子構造から無秩序相への秩序-無秩序転移(ODT)が起こることが明らかになった。
