Research Abstract

太陽表面組成を再現できる標準太陽模型が予測する太陽内の密度構造は、太陽震動学的な観測結果と矛盾しており(太陽組成問題)、太陽中心のC,N,O存在量を直接的に制限できる太陽CNOサイクルニュートリノ観測の重要性が増している。宇宙線による原子核破砕で生成されるC11はこの観測の深刻なバックグラウンドであるが、同時生成される中性子を識別することで20分の1に低減できる。その際必須となる不感時間のない電子回路を開発した。
