Research Abstract |
This study highlighted the changing role of women in acquiring family-owned housing. Households with two earners both in full-time employment are in the most advantageous position in purchasing their own home, where working wives tend to own their share of the property. Unlike married females, many unmarried women have been disadvantageous in terms of housing opportunities, living in their parents' home or low-quality private rental dwellings.
