| Research Abstract |
For avoiding spatial discontinuities, functional fragmentations, or visual incompatibilities of urban built environments due to individually planned or self-sufficiently executed "Machidukuri" projects, this research has developed Strategic Assessment Technology for Open-Platform based "Machidukuri" Design and Planning that enables to accommodate cross-scale evaluations of projected goals of each "Machidukuri" concerning their implications to larger-scale and long-range planning goals at a city-wide scale.
