Research Abstract

傾斜屈性を示すシロイヌナズナ突然変異体hy5 の側根を用いて、傾斜屈性が生ずる機構を調べた。その結果、側根では成長とともに根端のオーキシン濃度が低下し、それに従って成長方向が傾斜方向から下方へ転換するが、hy5 ではオーキシン濃度の低下が遅れる結果、野生型より長い間、傾斜屈性が維持されるとみられる。また、hy5 側根傾斜屈性を抑制する遺伝子座の位置を5番染色体の下腕、14遺伝子を含む領域にまで絞り込んだ。
