| Research Abstract |
細胞膜には,アクアポリン(AQP)と呼ばれる水を通す穴がある。カエル類は,樹上棲,陸上棲,半水棲,水棲と異なる水環境に適応し,AQP分子も多様性を示す。下腹部皮膚,膀胱,腎臓に抗利尿ホルモン依存性AQPが存在するが,系統学的な由来を異にしている。水棲ツメガエルの下腹部皮膚ではAQP mRNAは,発現しているが,タンパク質に翻訳できない仕組みがあることを発見した。これにより,ツメガエルの水中生活への適応が保障されている。
