Research Abstract |
固着生活を送る植物は光を重要な環境情報として用いており、進化の過程で主に赤色光領域の光受容体であるフィトクロムとフォトトロピンなどの複数の青色光受容体を獲得してきた。本研究ではフィトクロムの結晶構造解析を目指して研究を行ったが結晶を得ることができなかった。結晶化条件スクリーニングで幾つかの有望な結果を得て引き続き研究を行っている。一方、当初目的にはなかったが、フォトトロピンに関して、シロイヌナズナの2種類のフォトトロピンの光受容ドメインの一つであるLOV1の結晶構造解析を行い、LOVドメインの初めての二量体構造を明らかにした。
