Research Abstract

森林の遺伝的多様性の保全に資するため、ウダイカンバ、モミ、コナラ、ミズナラを対象として、(1)更新のタイプや更新段階の違い、(2)標高や傾斜など林分の立地条件、(3)遺伝子流動を阻害するような地形的隔離の3つの視点から遺伝的多様性への影響を研究した。その結果、林分の更新の様態、密度、立地環境などが繁殖を通じて次世代の遺伝的多様性に強い影響を及ぼすこと、同一地域でも気候や地形による隔離が遺伝構造を規定してことが明らかになり、これらを考慮した、森林生態系管理の重要性が示された。
