| Research Abstract |
タンニンは様々な植物に含まれる苦みを伴う物質であり,動物による採食からの防御効果を持つ.本研究では,森林に生息する齧歯類の「タンニンに対する耐性」をタンニン結合性唾液タンパク質とタンナーゼ産生細菌を測定することによって解明した.その結果,タンニン耐性の齧歯類種間あるいは種内での違いが,彼らの採餌行動に影響すること,さらに個体数変動に影響することを明らかにした.
