| Research Abstract |
獣医学領域においては未知のウイルスの感染が疑われる疾患は少なくない。検体導入時に既知のウイルスを検出できるプライマーセットを用いてPCRをおこない、既知のウイルスが検出されない場合には網羅的に検出できる方法(Rapid determination system of viral RNA/DNA nucleic acid sequences : RDV法)を用いて未知のウイルスを検出できるシステムを構築した。本研究では、ウイルスの網羅的検出方法を感度や操作方法を改良しながら、どの研究室でも取り扱えるようなシステム作りを目指した。本研究の成果は、蚊から新しいブニヤウイルス、コウモリからヘルペスウイルスなどの検出に成功したことである。
