Research Abstract

リン酸化シグナルPI3K (Phosphoinositide 3 kinase) /Aktシグナルが、毛包幹細胞の休止・活性化や軟骨の最終分化を制御すること、Aktによる癌抑制遺伝子p53の機能抑制が生殖細胞の脱分化を促進すること、GSK3 (glycogen synthase kinase 3)シグナルの阻害はES細胞の樹立効率を上昇させることなどを明らかにした。各幹細胞システムにおけるリン酸化シグナルの機能の特異性・共通性を解明し、応用研究への基盤を整えた。
