Research Abstract |
Methods to educate medical teachers to teach students through self-directed learning were studied. Microteaching system for active learning in didactic lectures were developed and implemented. Protocols for faculty development in problem-based learning were developed and implemented. Both tutorial and team-based learning are effective educational strategies in problem-based learning. Systemic faculty development is required to improve quality of these learner-centered educations.
