Research Abstract |
ヒトは老化するにしたがって様々な疾患、例えば、動脈硬化や糖尿病、高血圧とそれに伴う心不全などを発症する.しかしこれまで老化の側面から見たこれらの疾患の治療開発は行われていなかった.本研究では、細胞の老化分子であるp53が心不全や糖尿病の発症に重要な役割を果たしていることを明らかにした.
