Research Abstract

これまでに目立った表現型は見つかっていないグレリンKO マウスについて、申請者らは野生型マウスと比較して詳細に検討した。その結果、グレリンKO マウスにおいて自律神経機能に異常があることを見つけ出した。グレリンKO マウスでは血圧・心拍調節、体温調節がうまくいかず、安定していない。睡眠・覚醒によって血圧・心拍や体温は変化するが、グレリンKO マウスではその変動の幅が狭く、また基礎的な値の変動が著しい。この結果はグレリンが自律神経の恒常性維持に重要なホルモンであることを示している。
