Research Abstract

転写因子Runx2とその共役因子Cbfbの骨格形成における役割を明らかにするために、それらの遺伝子を改変したマウスの解析を行った。Cbfbは、Runx2依存性の骨格形成に必要であり、2つのアイソフォームに機能の違いがあること、Runx2は、骨芽細胞の成熟を抑制し、エストロゲン欠乏時の骨量減少に関与すること、そして歯の象牙芽細胞を骨芽細胞に変化させる能力があることを明らかにした。
