Research Abstract

近年、様々な研究によって神経幹細胞の維持・分化機構等の解明が進んでいるが、神経幹細胞の維持における生存機構についてはあまりよく分かっておらず、いわゆる生存因子とされるものも同定されていなかった。そこで本研究では、ストローマ細胞の一種であるPA-6 の培養上澄がマウスES 細胞由来および胎仔脳由来神経幹細胞の低密度培養下でのneurosphere 形成を促進する活性を持つことを見出し、その活性分子の少なくとも1つと考えられるものを精製・同定した。
