Research Abstract

睡眠覚醒調節における嗅結節(OT)でのアデノシンA_2A 受容体(A_2AR)の役割を明らかにするため、ラットOT の両側に、選択的A_2AR 作動薬であるCGS21680 をマイクロインジェクション法により投与し、脳波および筋電図の測定により睡眠量の変化を調べた。CGS21680 は対照群に比べ、用量依存的にノンレム睡眠およびレム睡眠を増加させ、覚醒を減少させた。
自発的睡眠覚醒における、イボテン酸投与によるOT 損傷の効果を調べた。イボテン酸の投与はノンレム睡眠およびレム睡眠を減少させた。これらの結果は、OT におけるA2_AR がラットの睡眠調節において重要な役割を果たすことを示している
