Research Abstract

経験によって獲得される恐怖や嫌悪の記憶を場合に応じて弱めることは、ヒトを含めた動物の生存に有用である。そのための脳機能のひとつとして「経験性恐怖記憶を弱める学習」が知られている。この学習は、海馬、扁桃体、前頭前野の3つの脳部位の連携により行われる。我々は、主に前頭前野に作用してこの学習を促進する物質を見いだし、その特徴付けを行った。このような物質はPTSD等の不安関連障害に対する治療薬開発に役立つ可能性がある。
