Research Abstract

長時間の身体拘束によりマウスに継続的な精神的ストレスを負荷すると同時に自発運動を行える環境で飼育して、精神的ストレスによる神経新生の低下に対し身体運動が抑制効果を持つか否かについて検討した。また、精神ストレスによる神経新生の低下に及ぼす身体運動の予防効果とIGF-1との関係についても検討した。その結果、身体運動はストレスより引き起こされる学習記憶能力と海馬の神経新生の低下を予防する効果があることが明らかとなり、その身体運動の予防効果にはIGF-1の作用が関与していることが証明された。
